Frequently asked questions.
What age range do you work with?
I am currently only accepting new clients who are 18 years or older.
do you provide sessions in person or via telehealth?
I provide in-person sessions at my office in South Deerfield, Massachusetts. I also provide sessions via telehealth. It is important to be aware that you will need to physically be in the state of Massachusetts during the telehealth session.
Will insurance cover Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP)?
Unfortunately, I am unable to provide a clear “yes” or “no” to this question. I can bill insurance for any sessions that are “psychotherapy”. If you would like me to be present while you take your dose of Ketamine, this session will not be what insurance companies view as “psychotherapy” and you will be responsible for that fee. In addition to the psychotherapy part of KAP, you will need to work with a prescriber and obtain the prescribed Ketamine; some prescribers may not take your insurance and as far as I am aware, insurance will not cover the cost of the Ketamine itself. To sum up: it is unlikely you will be able to receive KAP in a way that is completely covered by insurance. If finances are a concern as you consider KAP, we will discuss a KAP treatment option that is as financially comfortable for you as possible.
Do you only provide traditional weekly therapy sessions?
No; in addition to the traditional weekly model of psychotherapy, I also provide custom designed therapy intensives. These intensives typically utilize EMDR and are designed specifically for you. Some options include a full day intensive, a weekend intensive, or a full week intensive (these are just examples, we can be very creative with how we design these intensives). It is important that you are aware that therapy intensives are not covered by insurance.
